Can I drive or walk to Crab Island?
No. Crab Island is a sandbar in the bay just north of the Destin Bridge, with no road, no dock and no ferry landing. Every visitor arrives by boat: their own, a rental, a charter, or a seat on a scheduled trip.
Which boat should I take?
It depends on who is driving and how many of you there are.

Do I have to drive the boat myself?

Destin Harbor is the main departure point, with more boats out of Fort Walton Beach and Santa Rosa Beach. The ride to the sandbar is short from any of them.
When should I go?
